Harmony is a Kubernetes cluster for persistent workloads (services, gateways, model inference, and development environments) running on Ampere Altra high core-count ARM (aarch64) CPUs, NVIDIA GH200 NVL2 GPUs, and x86_64 CPU nodes. It is funded by NSF grant #2430001.

Harmony is best for

  1. hosting science gateways, web apps, and persistent services.
  2. supporting inference tasks and AI agents with locally hosted LLMs.
  3. interactive development environments.

Getting Access

Harmony is currently in beta. To request app hosting, submit your request to our Harmony App Request Form.

stylus_note
To submit a Harmony request form and use the platform, you must be registered through the Unity Platform account portal. You don’t need to be in a Unity cluster PI group. To initialize your account, simply log in to the account portal without proceeding to request Unity group access.

App requirements

In order to host an app on Harmony, you need to follow some technical and policy guidelines.

  1. Harmony apps are subject to the Unity Platform AUP.
  2. Apps must be containerized. Not sure how to build containers? Contact us for help!.
